We’re really excited to share that UnLtd has awarded us £7000 to continue our work! For those who don’t know, UnLtd supports people like us.. social ventures that aim to make a real difference in communities. Their backing means so much to us. It’s not just about the money (though that’s a huge help!); it’s about knowing that they believe in what we’re doing - helping marginalised groups access education, services, and employment. Alongside the funding, UnLtd also provides incredible coaching, legal support, and training opportunities, which we know will help us grow and make an even bigger impact. We’re truly grateful for their continued support, and we can’t wait to put this funding and their guidance to good use. Lets start the week off with a throwback video showcasing two of the inspiring finalists from the ThinkEDI Diversity & Inclusion Influencer award 2024. The finalist in this category were: Molly Fenton BCAh founder of the Love Your Period Campaign. Molly is an internationally renowned Women’s Health and Rights Activist, using her experience living with an inoperable brain tumour and multiple illnesses to influence policy, change and grassroots work. Khurram Khan ✪ founder of The CEO CLUB. Khurram is the CEO of an AI Automation agency in Wales, is dedicated to helping businesses grow smarter and cleaner. Dan Newman is the co-founder of BALDILOCKS; a profit for purpose venture determined to get people their glow back when they’ve struggled with mental illness, especially if experiencing hair loss through alopecia or cancer treatments. Ian Timbrell is an educator, advocate, and founder of More Than Flags And Rainbows, dedicated to fostering LGBTQ+ inclusion and tackling bullying in schools. Drawing on his own life experience and 20 years of teaching, he works to create environments where every young person feels safe, seen and supported. Blessing Mutamba Blessing is the Business Inclusion Programme Manager at NatWest whose role focusses on breaking down barriers to enterprise for Ethnic Minority owned businesses. The winner of the Diversity & Influencer award 2024, sponsored by Ogi was Molly Fenton BCAh. Emily Nicole Roberts, a Welsh disability advocate, won the Inclusive Creative Professional Award at the ThinkEDI Diversity & Inclusion Awards 2024 for her dedication to raising awareness and creating content that truly makes a difference for the disability community. Just before Christmas, MeetBetter were finalists at the Diversity & Inclusion Awards Wales, hosted by the amazing folks at ThinkEDI. It was energizing to be surrounded by so many companies who understand the importance of building diverse and inclusive products and workplaces! 🎉 I'm incredibly proud that MeetBetter was recognized for our work helping clients build inclusive, effective teams through better meetings. Teams are more productive, creative and energized when their meetings encourage collaboration and diversity of thoughts. Huge thanks to the entire ThinkEDI team, Sophie Mason for her dedication in organizing, and Ogi for sponsoring the event.
