This is the guy we will read about in 20 years for his significant impact on how older adults experience aging. What makes Daniel Kaplan a killer investor is simple: 1. He understands the market deeply, from his experience as an operator and his perpetual "doing the work" to stay ahead of the curve. 2. He's incredibly disciplined and diligent. He follows through on every promise he makes, and does so thoughtfully. 3. He's the type of genuinely good person who you want to interact and work with. He's in it for the right reasons and he's easy to be around. He's the triple threat. I texted him a week ago that I'd be in his area for a few days for a conference, thinking it'd be nice to grab dinner while I was there. His first response to my text was that I should stay at his house the whole time, despite his wife being away and him being on full time baby duty. We went on walks, ate incredible home-cooked food, and talked about work and life. That's the kind of guy he is. Lucky to have him as an investor in Givers and as a friend!
