An additional $200 million in funding for flood mitigation has been allocated by FEMA. This fourth round of funding is part of the Flood Mitigation Assistance Program’s Swift Current opportunity and is focused on areas recently impacted by flooding from hurricanes Helene and Milton. States such as Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia are eligible for this funding to accelerate disaster recovery and reduce future flood risks.
