This week I have had the pleasure of speaking with the Shrewsbury Academy Pastoral team and working with 4 All Foundation the site collective contribution from our wonderful sub-contractors, Consultants and Site Initiatives has raised a sum of £3,202.00, and a trolley full of gifts and food to share with the school as part of the Tilbury Douglas Winter Wishes Campaign. The original target was £2k and we surpassed this in a matter of days. The school has made hampers for those that really need it and the school has also managed to arrange gift bags for some families that would likely not have opened anything on Christmas morning. That means so much to me, so much to the team on site at Shrewsbury Academy and it will mean the world to those families impacted. I am pleased to say that there are enough funds left in their Just Giving Account to continue to supply their on-site food hub for months to come. Well done all involved. Some of our Midlands colleagues recently collaborated with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust for a tree-removal day at Ashlawn Cutting, as part of our Give a Day of Your Time initiative. Two of our Paragon apprentices, Daniel Hamberger and Oliver Ansell, recently volunteered at the “Feast With Us” soup kitchen in London, as part of our Give a Day of Your Time initiative. Colleagues from both our East and West Midlands teams have collected 300 selection boxes for children in Nottinghamshire care. This is part of its 'Forget me Notts' Christmas appeal for children who are in care or known to the care system locally - for many of these children this may be the only gift they receive.
