**** 🏗 🏠 🏢 PLANNING IN THE PUB CARDIFF - TWO WEEKS TO OUR NEXT EVENT! 🌁 🚎 🏙 **** 🍻 Thursday 28th November 2024, 6pm 🍻🍻 Following on from the first two 'Planning in the Pub' events in Cardiff in May and September, we will be holding another event (the last for 2024) on at the Mad Dog Brewery, 17-19 Castle Street, Cardiff, CF10 1BS As always this will be an informal gathering open to anyone - whether you are working in or adjacent to planning, or have an interest in planning and urbanism more generally. So far it’s been great to welcome a huge mix of professionals at different stages of their career, so don’t think it’s not for you! The premise is simple: come along for drinks and conversation with other planners, planner enthusiasts or planning-curious! There is no agenda as such; but we always welcome conversation starters. Please spread the word far and wide. Look forward to seeing you there!

It’s not all bad news! Take a look at my article for Business News Wales which talks about community engagement as the primary way to deliver social value, with inspiring examples of how working with real people affected by projects results in better outcomes for everyone. Many thanks to ECF and Bouygues Construction UK for their contributions. This comes ahead of next Tuesday’s LDN Collective event in Covent Garden (19th Nov.), which will focus on how digital technology is enhancing opportunities for  community engagement.
