Sports investment firm Dynasty Equity co-led an investment round in Tomorrow Sports, a firm co-founded by golf heavyweights Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, which aims to create new ventures across sports, tech, and culture. It’s the latest example of the growing clout of sports as an asset class. The annual value of announced M&A and investment deals has jumped 8 times to nearly $37 billion in the last four years according to Deutsche Bank. “We’re not trying to disrupt traditional golf, the PGA tour will exist as is - what we’re doing is taking all the things people know and love about golf and presenting something in primetime in an action packed arena that’s going to be a ton of fun,“ said Cornwell.
