  • Share your input on our regional transportation network during a public open house at TMACOG from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, December 10. TMACOG is developing a Regional Freight Plan that will inventory roadways, railroads, ports, airports, pipelines, and intermodal facilities, and review key commercial, manufacturing, and industrial land uses and businesses. A well-planned freight network means fewer traffic jams, safer roads, and a stronger local economy. An efficient system lowers costs, ensures products reach consumers, and connects local manufacturers to national and international markets. At this meeting, you can review a draft transportation analysis and provide feedback on proposed projects and policies. Your input will help ensure that TMACOG’s Regional Freight Plan represents our region’s needs and opportunities. If you require accommodations to fully participate, contact Jennifer Allen: allen@tmacog.org or 419-241-9155 ext. 1107. • We brought together economic development partners from across our region to kick off the process to create a new Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, or CEDS. This group will work over the next year to develop a strategic regional economic development plan for Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Seneca counties. This plan is a crucial step toward establishing an Economic Development District that will allow our region to access powerful federal funding programs.

  • TMACOG leaders enjoyed a beautiful fall day at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve in Perrysburg on Friday, where we had the distinct pleasure of recognizing the dedication of the dozens of people who go above and beyond with their service to our region by participating in TMACOG. Following important meetings of our Board of Trustees and General Assembly, we expressed our thanks to these groups, as well as members and partners who participated in our strategic planning process earlier this year. Our Leadership Appreciation Luncheon included a fun trivia game that highlighted some of the many unique qualities and history of our area’s communities. Thank you to everyone who helps advance our region by participating in TMACOG, and a special shoutout to Wood County Park District for this outstanding meeting space!
