Are you working to improve the world? We can help. The mission of the Tomberg Family Philanthropies is to support well run and effective programs that make a difference in the areas of poverty alleviation, the environment, health and education. Our focus is on supporting projects that help their recipients build capabilities themselves that will last far beyond the end of the specific project. We agree with the Nobel Committee that “every single individual on earth has both the potential and the right to live a decent life.” We make grants and provide non-financial support to organizations working in the areas of the environment, poverty alleviation, health and education.

#TFPThoughtfulThursday Did you know that according to the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and GivingUSA in 2023, donations to health-related causes grew by 8.7% (or 4.4% adjusted for inflation), reaching $56.58 billion total? Similarly, giving to human services, which includes poverty alleviation efforts, increased by 5.8% (or 1.7% adjusted for inflation) totaling $88.84 billion. All philanthropic giving in the U.S. totaled $557.16 billion in 2023.
