  • What’s holding back progress on water scarcity, and how do we build scalable solutions? At our COP29 Water in the Balance panel, we explored the systems-level barriers standing in the way of meaningful progress. A key roadblock? The lack of universally accepted financial models that account for water’s real value. To move forward, we need innovative financing mechanisms to mobilize impact capital, harness technologies like AI-powered forecasting tools, and prioritize cross-sector collaboration to unlock scalable solutions. Thank you to Kostis A. Tselenis for moderating and to our panelists Tobias Binder, Dennis Levine, Paul Nimmerfall, Will Muecke, and Paul Buysens for sharing their insights. “What are your hopes and worries about the future of impact investing?” - that’s how we kickstarted the private TTI investment panel during Web Summit. Craig Douglas, founding partner at World Fund shared his thoughts on first-of-a-kind financing in climate tech - and how we can bring more capital to fund climate tech startups through the valley of death and beyond. Ravi Suri, global head of sustainable finance & impact investing at KPMG talked about what is missing to help large companies bridge the Net Zero gap better and integrate climate innovation more rapidly. Deborah Brosnan, climate scientist and founder at Deborah Brosnan & Associates shared her views about risk pricing and what we can do to price science more accurately into risk models. Antonio Miguel, managing partner at maze impact talked about how investors and companies can advocate more effectively for policies that accelerate sustainable impact and make a real difference in climate action. Thank you also to our amazing audience and all the questions during & after the event through Top Tier Impact. • The key to tackling climate change lies in collaboration. The faster and better we work together, the greater the impact. During COP29, our panel on “Regional Cooperation to Innovate Our Way Out of the Climate Crisis”, explored how cross-border partnerships can help scale climate solutions. How do we make it happen? By driving multi-stakeholder collaboration across governments, investors, and the private sector, aligning regional efforts with global goals, and supporting cross-border frameworks that unlock impactful & scalable solutions. Thank you to Abbas Kazmi for moderating and to our panelists Eva KAZANSKAIA, Gary Soleiman, Hajar Khamlichi, and Femi Akinrebiyo for sharing their insights.
