  • Christmas Day (Wednesday) • A developing system will bring showers and thunderstorms to the Ark-La-Tex region and surrounding areas. While severe weather isn’t a big concern, localized downpours and gusty winds could lead to travel slowdowns on major highways. Travel Impacts: South-Central U.S. • Slick roads from Texas through Louisiana and into Arkansas, especially on I-20, I-30, and I-49. • Heavy rain could reduce visibility at times, so be cautious when hydroplaning and ponding on roadways. • Minor flight delays are possible for airports in Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Shreveport, La., if thunderstorms become widespread. Yet another Pacific storm system will push inland, bringing rain and mountain snow from Washington and Oregon into parts of northern California and the northern Rockies. Higher elevations will see accumulating snowfall, while valleys and coastal areas get a cool rain. Travel Impacts: Northwestern U.S. • Snow and ice on the mountain passes along I-90, I-84, and portions of I-5 in higher terrain. • Black ice could develop in the evening as temperatures drop, especially in the Cascades and northern Rockies. • Minor airport delays are possible for Seattle, Portland, and maybe even San Francisco if rainfall is steady.

  • Tues: • Two winter storms impact the W. & NE on Christmas Eve, w/ rain, light to moderate snow & possible icy spots. Meanwhile, a strengthening cold front stirs showers & storms across the southern Plains & into the SE. • A low-pressure system slides into the NE on tonight, delivering light to briefly moderate snow from upstate NY into N. New England & parts of the central Appalachians. Some spots may see icy conditions, especially if freezing rain mixes in. Travelers on Interstates 87, 91, & 95 should stay alert for slick spots through the morning. Farther S., a cold front draped from the Mid-Atlantic into the TN Valley & S. Plains sparks rain and a few storms. The Carolina coastline may pick up scattered showers, while heavier downpours develop in places like the S.-Central U.S. • Across the southern Plains, conditions are more volatile as the day progresses. A strengthening upper-level disturbance collides w/ warm, moist air flowing in from the Gulf, supporting scattered storms from central into E. TX. Some of these storms may turn strong to borderline severe, w/ an outside chance for a brief tornado. Meanwhile, showers & general storms will stretch across parts of OK, AK, & LA, w/ pockets of heavier rain possible. • On the W. Coast, a Pac. storm system pushes inland, drenching coastal & valley locations from WA down into cent. CA. Occasional storms are possible in N. CA, especially near the front.. In the higher elevations of the Cascades, Sierra Nevada, & the N./cent. Rockies, snow develops as the day progresses, w/ snow levels gradually lowering at night. Roads over mtn. passes along Interstates 15, 84, & 90 are likely to become snow-covered or icy, while lower elevations mainly deal with wet pavement. • Temps will run chilly in the NE, w/ highs in the teens-20s, while the Midwest hovers in the 20s to near 30 degrees. The N.-cent.Plains & the Rockies can expect 30s-40s. Warmer 60s-low 70s stretch across the SE & along the Gulf Coast, & the SW will enjoy 60s-70s under generally calmer skies. The Pac. NW sees a wide range from 30s in the mtbs. to near 50 across some lower elevations, while coastal & S. CA settle in the 50s-60s by afternoon.

  • This holiday season, Total Transportation of MS had the honor of delivering a load of wreaths to Alexandria National Cemetery in Pineville, LA, as part of the Wreaths Across America mission. It's a privilege to play a small role in honoring our nation’s heroes by ensuring these wreaths reach their final destination. Together, we remember, honor, and teach the importance of the sacrifices made by so many. #TOTALDifference #WreathsAcrossAmerica

  • At Total Transportation, we’re proud to honor the incredible achievements of our drivers who’ve reached the remarkable milestone of driving 750,000 and 1 million safe miles. This accomplishment is a testament to their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. This year’s celebration was extra special as we gathered to recognize the heart and hard work of our drivers who reached this prestigious milestone. It’s a journey marked by long hours, countless challenges, and an unwavering dedication to keeping our roads safe and supply chains running smoothly. We would also like to take a moment to honor one of our own who sadly couldn’t celebrate this moment with us. Brian Hill, who recently passed away, achieved his 1 million mile award—a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and a true passion for the road. His contributions to our team and industry will never be forgotten, and his name will forever be part of the Million Miler family. 💙 #TOTALDifference
