This Christmas, TouchPoint collaborated with Ser Familia, Inc. to ensure over 30 families had a joyful holiday season. Our team collected and donated gifts that Ser Familia distributed to families within the local community. Ser Familia is a nonprofit organization that provides resources and programs for Latino families throughout Georgia. TouchPoint is honored to have been part of this incredible initiative, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to bring the magic of the holidays to these families. As a member of the Academy of Nutrition Dietetics, Tamara is especially grateful for the educational resources offered by TouchPoint so the team can continually learn and improve. "We do say that dietitians save lives," she shares. This is also why training for dietitians is so important. In 2024, TouchPoint's clinical nutrition team focused on malnutrition initiatives that involved retraining on key concepts and implementing enhancements to electronic medical records. "These enhancements made our documentation more succinct," Tamara says. Join us in celebrating humanKIND winner, Raelee Martin, Patient Transporter in Miramar Beach, FL! Sometimes it takes only a single act of kindness to change a life. Raelee Martin did exactly that by putting someone else’s needs and humility above her own. When a patient needed urgent help during a CT scan, Raelee and the radiologist team stepped up without hesitation. Their quick, compassionate response turned a potentially distressing moment into one of dignity and care. While this may be "just another day" for Raelee, the hospital staff can't stop praising her everyday acts of kindness. It's associates like Raelee that make our Miramar Beach location truly special. Tamara has been at the same hospital since 2005 and has seen its evolution from a standalone facility to an entire system, supported by TouchPoint. Though there was an initial learning curve for much of the support services staff, communication between TouchPoint and hospital leadership united the service lines and helped them succeed in the early days. For Tamara, "collaboration" is the keyword that describes her experience with TouchPoint: "The teams all function with exceptional teamwork. We reach the clinical, food and nutrition, and EVS teams on a regional and national level. Caroline has been doing an incredible job working with the Ukrainian Refugees in the Chicago area. She has gone above and beyond with this hiring program and the proof shows in the success of the program. Caroline most recently helped two immigrant families find their first jobs in America! A family from India (husband and wife) and a Ukrainian refugee family now work in FNS for TouchPoint. Through help from bilingual staff and Google Translate, she broke language barriers and even discovered some lived close enough to carpool together!
