About this time of year, I tend to reflect on what the year has provided, what I’ve learned, and what, if any changes need to be made. Since October of 2023, we have experienced a strong move in the markets. This was puzzling to those who did not participate but also created anxiety for those who have had exposure to explosive themes like AI. The bloom is quickly coming off the rose of the election. This was clearly a historic event, but with it comes a level of change that will be difficult at times for the market to react to. The election is over. The country has spoken and spoken loudly. What is to come seems to be based on what was seen in President elect Trump’s previous administration. Strangely enough, this post-election market seems to be an almost exact rhyme to the 2020 post-election market when Trump lost, and Biden won.
