  • Seeking Executive Assistant to the Town Administrator and Select Board: The Town of Dennis seeks highly motivated candidates for the position of Executive Assistant. This is a full-time (40 hrs./wk.) position that will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Town Administrator and the Select Board. This is a fast-paced environment and candidates must be able to maintain confidentiality along with being able to multi-task, have the ability to stay focused in a busy environment, and work independently. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills and experience with various office technology, along with strong computer skills.  Duties include, but are not limited to: Performs a variety of executive administrative and clerical duties and customer service work for the Town Administrator and Select Board’s Office. Prepares documents and correspondence, answers telephones, and meets with visitors; schedules meetings as required; maintains inventory of office supplies and places re-orders as necessary etc. Responds to inquiries, requests, and/or complaints from the public in person, on the telephone, and in writing; refers individual(s) to the appropriate staff for assistance as needed; transmits and explains Town Administrator’s directions as necessary. Attends board, committee or commission meetings and responsible for transcribing minutes. Composes memorandums or letters for the Town Administrator and the Select Board; Conducts research for the Town Administrator or Select Board in reference to Town ordinances and past agenda items. Serves as a liaison between the Town Administrator’s Office, the public and Town staff. Assists in the preparation of various papers and documents including the Select Board agenda/packets, legal notices, resolutions, and agendas.  Issues town liquor, entertainment, taxi licenses, and various department permits; prepares reports for regulatory authorities and maintains detailed records. Minimum Qualifications: Position requires an Associate’s Degree and three to five (3-5) years of administrative assistant or clerical office experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Starting annual salary range: $61,183 - $66,226, plus comprehensive benefit package.
