🎉🏆 One of the most enjoyable and rewarding aspects of my expansive portfolio, is to help build our #startup ecosystem. And one of the many initiatives I’ve been involved in over the years is our National Youth Entrepreneurship Awards (NYEA). This year, we celebrated the achievements of our youth entrepreneurs through the POL-ITE Entrepreneurs’ Challenge and NYEA Recognition Awards. 🚀 Singapore is home to more than 4,500 tech startups, 500 VC firms and 240 incubators and accelerators. And our entrepreneurs (including younger ones!) have been sparking new businesses. 🚀 This afternoon, I got to share how startups can use the resources and support we’ve made available to them, such as: 👉🏻 The Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) that will help provide capital, advisory and digital platform services for startups. 👉🏻ACE.SG (Action Community for Entrepreneurship),Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and JTC Corporation are launching a physical space called “Stage One” to connect local and global tech startups. 👉🏻SEEDS Capital and EDBI Pte Ltd will be combined to form SG Growth Capital, to help our startups access financing. 🤩 Thank you ACE.SG (Action Community for Entrepreneurship) for supporting the entrepreneurship spirit of our youths! Finally emerging from my coding cave - we won a little something! As probably the freshest faces at the NYEA POL-ITE Alumni track, we were there primarily to absorb how other startups pitched.
