Had a blast yesterday at Beyond The Core: Better Public Transportation for Suburban Communities in Greater Boston! Thank you to TransitMatters and Lexington’s own Susan Barrett for hosting and facilitating, and for all of our panelists for joining us! It was neat to learn more about the different initiatives at MBTA and how we can expand our public transportation footprint. As an Economic Developer, we must look at how we can transport more visitors, workers, and residents into and around our communities, and create more accessible pathways to do so!

Next week, the Town of Lexington's Transportation Services and TransitMatters will host a "Transit Forum - Beyond the Core" at the Lexington Community Center. Register at: bit.ly/coreforum. Representative Michelle Ciccolo (15th Middlesex) will welcome attendees, and officials from the MBTA, MassDOT, and the MBTA Advisory Board will discuss the future of the MBTA and how public transit in communities outside the City of Boston can be improved. Networking and light refreshments begin at 2:30 on Dec. 9, and the program will begin at 3:00 p.m.
