It was great to see many familiar faces and themes at the Duke Center for Community Engagement's Launch Event. Stelfanie Williams, Vice President for Community Affairs at Duke Community Affairs and Triangle Community Foundation Board member kicked off the day with an important note - as the Triangle continues to grow, we have to work hard together to adapt and maintain our community character. #communityengagement #dukecommunityaffairs #trianglenc

What an engaging staff retreat we had last week at the Museum of Life and Science centered around "Building a Culture of Curiosity Together." We enhanced our skills through workshop sessions, showcased our competitive spirit through a fun museum scavenger hunt, and we even made new friends — cows, alpacas, and dinosaurs included! 🦙🐂 🦕 To close day one, we celebrated our President & CEO, Lori O'Keefe, on her 20th work anniversary, recognizing her incredible service to the Foundation and the community. Thank you Durham Arts Council for hosting us! Day two included visits to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC and Book Harvest, where we gained valuable insights into their impactful work. This retreat allowed us to step away from the day-to-day and deepen our connections as a team. #teamwork #communityimpact #curiosity #teambuilding
