Outbuild addresses one of the construction industry’s key challenges: on-time project completion. With 75% of projects facing delays, Outbuild’s platform offers a holistic approach, allowing users to build schedules, look-aheads, and weekly plans within one integrated ecosystem. Outbuild's mission to innovate the construction scheduling process by bringing value to the field teams – is well-aligned with Trimble's mission to better connect the field and the office. Our investment and future collaborative efforts with Outbuild aim to integrate advanced functionalities to improve real-time project planning and construction management. The investment is led by Sway Capital with participation from Hilti Venture, BGV, and Zacua Ventures. Innovation was the big winner in Las Vegas last Tuesday as some of the world’s most promising AEC technology startup companies competed at the #TrimbleDimensions and SketchUp #3DBC2024 user conference. Pitch Day at Dimensions and 3D Basecamp brought together seasoned venture capitalists with 17 innovative startups seeking to raise their visibility, attract potential backers, and vie for cash prizes of up to $35,000. Each of their innovative solutions have truly set a new standard in the industry but only a select few could be declared winners. In the Construction Startup Competition, Sodex Innovations took first place for its high-tech hardware that turns construction machines into mobile surveyors. In the #SketchUp 0-60 Challenge, ScaffPlan won for its software platform that creates scaffolding plans for SketchUp designs.
