Our most recent continuing education class at Columbus Metropolitan Library covered some crucial topics! 👀☝️ The session with the City of Columbus ~ Division of Police on handling road rage is definitely valuable, especially since that’s something many drivers face regularly! 🙃 The tips shared on deescalation could make a big difference in keeping everyone safe on the road. 🚐 One of our very own drivers, Tom C., talked about gun safety, which was timely given the current discussions around it. It’s vital that people stay informed and know how to properly handle these situations if they arise. Christa Page, LISW, hosted a session on suicide prevention and QRP certification, which was incredibly impactful—especially since it helps drivers identify and support clients who might be struggling. ❤️🩹 We're both amazed and thankful that they’re providing tools for intervention, which can make a huge difference in someone's life. #TristarTransportation #ContinuingEducation #Transportation #RoadRage #SuicidePrevention

🚨 HALO ALERT! 😇 We are proud to say this Halo goes out to Carolyn—yes, AGAIN! 🌟 This time, Carolyn was recommended by one of her co-workers. Her route was changed, and she was given a van to pick up five students in the afternoon. She took the change in stride with a smile and no complaints! There were a few hiccups with the timing due to the last-minute adjustments, and before our routing team solved the delays, Carolyn took the initiative to look at her route and ask if she could try dropping the kids off in a different order. She routed them in a way that the parents were happy, and all kids were dropped off within an hour after pick up. 🚐 This is above and beyond what is required and we believe she should be recognized for it. Community is SWEET! 🍬🩷 On February 13th we held our monthly driver coffee & chat! 💬 Drivers were invited to come and enjoy our Valentine's theme—complete with coffee, pastries, and great company while meeting our newest team member, Jodi, our new Driver Success Manager! 🚙🌟 Drivers shared their success stories with the students that they transport, and one in particular shared a story where his student, who is non-verbal, gave him a big smile as he was talking with him! We also have a driver who learned Spanish to tell his student "good job" when he had a smooth ride home. 🥰 For those who attended, we had a random drawing where the driver could spin the prize wheel, and one lucky driver won a $25 Shell gift card! 🚗💨 #TristarTransportation #CoffeeAndChat #TeamBuilding #NEMT #PrivateTransportation

It's with great sadness that our founder, mother, and grandmother, Norma Holmes has passed. She was here from the beginning, supporting her husband run the driving school, then took on building a new school transportation service once a school district asked for help. Thirty-three years later, this new project turned into the best and biggest school transportation service in Central Ohio. Her family feels incredibly privileged to carry on this legacy for her, and we know she's very proud of our team and the success we've had evolving Tristar to what it is today. She will be greatly missed. ♥️

Today we need to shine a light on someone who isn't *technically* a Tristar employee but definitely feels like family! 🥰 For over 20 years, Nurse Cindy has been an invaluable part of the Tristar operation, bringing Dr. Kelley on board over 12 years ago and making a lasting impact on our team. With her impressive credentials (DNP, RN, MSED), she does more than support our drivers—she changes lives! 🩺❤️ Nurse Cindy performs physicals on our new drivers every 2 weeks. Recently, she identified a serious health issue in one of our new drivers. Not only did she help him find a doctor, but she also scheduled his appointment and followed up to ensure he got the care he needed. Now, thanks to her dedication, he’s feeling better than ever and successfully driving for our NEMT division. 🎉 As Nurse Cindy says, "It's been an honor and a privilege to support you and the team, your mission and vision, and most importantly, the people you are entrusted with."
