  • Have you ever wondered how different treats effect your blood sugar? We did, so we did a little experiment - check the link to the 'lab write up' to our experiment in the comments. Hopefully you are able to take something from what we learned to make healthier choices this year!

  • Our Frozen Greek Yogurt is only as good as the ingredients we use and the people who supply. So it should be no surprise that getting to know and understand our suppliers is a priority of ours. We had a great time sharing TruJoy with the Barry Callebaut Group in Austin this week. Hopefully they are proud of the way we are using their chocolate. I'd say a few pints of TruJoy Yogurt for a few chocolate bars is a fair trade! (pun intended) Thank you Frank Gonzales, Caitlin Clarke & Laura Roth - we are working hard to bring TruJoy to y'all in Columbus & Chicago, but until then you will have to just come back to Austin!

  • FoodNavigator recognizes TruJoy Yogurt for disrupting the dairy industry... by using Simple, Natural & Timeless Ingredients! It's a bit of a paradox that making delicious and nutritious frozen desserts with wholesome & healthful ingredients and Real California Milk is such a disruption - but this is the movement that we are proud to be a part of. • Thank you Grace Kennedy and Startup CPG for giving us the chance to share our story on the Startup CPG Podcast. We are still figuring it out.... but hopefully there are some nuggets in here for other founders trying to navigate their way through the crazy world of retail. The Startup CPG community and podcast has been so generous and taught us so much, it is a privilege to be able to give back to y'all! Give it a listen, hopefully you can find some true inspiration to live a life of joy! https://lnkd.in/gwnwUYy2

  • Finding new ways to share our values! People are always looking for an extra bit of protein and the freezer isn't where they traditionally look. So we are calling it out in bold on our lids so that the world can see that TruJoy Yogurt can provide an extra boost. At 24 grams of protein per pint, our Frozen Greek Yogurt has twice the protein of a premium ice cream! Our Frozen Greek Yogurt is naturally low in lactose because of the culturing process, but we are adding a lactase enzyme to our formula so that our products are now truly lactose free - and we are calling it out for everyone to see! Approximately 30% of Americans have trouble digesting lactose. Now that TruJoy Yogurt will be lactose free, that many more people can enjoy the deliciousness of real dairy and have the benefits of a protein & probiotic boost in their sweet treats!

  • You don’t think twice about saying ‘thanks’ to your barista and tipping a dollar for your pumpkin spiced latte (it’s that time of the year!). But when was last time you thought about thanking the folks who keep the shelves stocked at your local grocery store? This week was Whole Foods Market Team Member Appreciation week and TruJoy Yogurt was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go into the a few of the Austin area stores to share our appreciation for the folks who work so hard to keep our Frozen Greek Yogurt, among other things, stocked for your easy enjoyment! It’s easy to understand the suppliers’ gratitude for all the people at the store who work day in to merchandise their goods. And suppliers have the good fortune of getting to know everybody in their supply chain – from distributor to store clerk – and can thank them often. Whole Foods’ Team Member Appreciation week caused me to reflect a bit on who else ought to be grateful for all the work that goes into delivering the food we take every day – we should all be grateful and need to express our gratitude more! Serving food to the people and communities is one of the most primal ways of showing that we care. Sadly the experience of buying groceries has become dismally transactional and as customers we often overlook all the love and labor, for it is a labor of love, that goes into those last steps of stocking the shelves. Next time you are pushing your cart through the aisles and see somebody restacking pots of yogurt or unpacking a case of tortilla chips, please stop to say ‘thank you’, it will make someone’s day! For without the tedious work of keeping shelves stocked, the grocery store that you love, and its seemingly unlimited food supply would cease to exist.

TruJoy Yogurt is still a few seasons away from being ready but the good news is is we are ready to go when our season comes! And it couldn't come soon enough for sharing our delicious Frozen Greek Yogurt is what brings us the most joy!
