It was an absolute honor to kick off the year pitching TrustPoint alongside such an incredible group of MIT-founded #startups. As an #MIT alumnus and the CEO of TrustPoint, I couldn’t be more thrilled to share how we’re disrupting the #GPS industry and to hear about the groundbreaking innovations my fellow alums are leading across so many fields. At TrustPoint, our mission is to revolutionize global navigation by delivering a next-generation GPS system that is more accurate, secure, and reliable. In an increasingly connected world, our technology is redefining how industries—from autonomous vehicles to critical infrastructure—navigate and operate with confidence. The opportunity to present our vision to a panel of over 430 VCs and corporations was inspiring. 🚀 Post-Conference Reflections: Space Economy Summit 2024 🚀 #Space continues to inspire us all — igniting our imagination, driving innovation, and sparking fascination across industries. But beyond the wonder, a crucial question remains: 𝐃𝐨 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐟 𝐬𝐨, 𝐡𝐨𝐰? The recent 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 organized by Economist Impact events offered a powerful platform to explore this pivotal topic. From insightful panels to engaging discussions, the event brought together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to shed light on the immense value space technology contributes to the global economy. TrustPoint was honored to be part of this essential conversation. Our focus centered on the significant role that #Position, #Navigation, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐏𝐍𝐓) and 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 (𝐆𝐈𝐒) play in shaping the space economy. The numbers speak for themselves — these technologies drive economic value in the range of hundreds of billions each year, touching nearly every sector from transportation and agriculture to defense and logistics. A highlight of the event was the dynamic panel discussion featuring: Patrick Shannon (CEO & Founder, TrustPoint) Olivier Casabianca (Trimble Inc.) Scott Burgett (Garmin) Stella Chelangat Mutai. M.Sc. Moderated by Lisa Dyer, Executive Director ,GPS Innovation Alliance (GPSIA), the session explored the essential role of #PNT in driving the future of space innovation and global economic growth. It’s clear that the space economy is more than just satellites and exploration. It’s about real-world impact, tangible returns, and the boundless potential for future growth. With new technologies, collaborations, and applications emerging daily, the future of the space economy has never looked brighter. Today, the GPS Innovation Alliance (GPSIA) announced TrustPoint as the newest member of the organization. TrustPoint joins John Deere (Deere & Company), Garmin, Trimble Inc., Apple, and Lockheed Martin, as well as the national organizations that are part of GPSIA’s affiliates program. TrustPoint will further bolster the Alliance’s goal of championing innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship in position, navigation, and timing (PNT).
