Updates

  • We are thrilled to announce that the 10th annual meeting of the Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity will take place in Paris, France on May 22-23rd, 2025 at the Paris Brain Institute (Institut du Cerveau). We are also excited to share that the deadline for abstract and award submissions has been extended to February 1, 2025! This milestone event marks our first-ever European conference and celebrates a decade of advancing creativity neuroscience. The theme, Creativity & Changing Brains, will explore how creativity both shapes and is shaped by changes in the brain, from clinical and developmental contexts to everyday life. We’re thrilled to welcome two extraordinary keynote speakers: - Anna Abraham, Professor, University of Georgia; Director of the Torrance Center for Creativity & Talent Development - Andreas Fink, Professor of Psychology, University of Graz We are also excited to announce that a limited number of travel awards will be available to help support conference attendance. Details will be shared soon--stay tuned! In addition to the academic program, we’re planning some exciting activities to immerse attendees in the rich creative and historical atmosphere of Paris: - An evening social event on the banks of the Seine - A guided tour of the historic Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital - Group meet-ups in places of creative renown, such as Notre Dame and La Musée D'Orsay We invite abstracts for talks, posters, and symposia on any aspect of creativity research. Submissions that incorporate neuroscience, neuroimaging, and interdisciplinary approaches—such as psychology, behavioral science, clinical research, and the arts—are especially encouraged. ⏰ Abstract and award submission deadline: February 1, 2025! If you have new work or ideas to share, we encourage you to submit to this exciting event. Please reach out to tsfnc.org@gmail.com with any questions.  Let’s celebrate 10 incredible years of creativity neuroscience—see you in Paris!

  • We are thrilled to announce that the 10th annual meeting of the Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity will take place in Paris, France on May 22-23rd, 2025 at the Paris Brain Institute (Institut du Cerveau). For our first European conference, the theme will be Creativity & Changing Brains, an exploration of how creativity influences and is shaped by changes in the brain, whether those changes occur in clinical, developmental, or everyday contexts. We're also excited to welcome keynotes by two bright stars in our field: Anna Abraham, Director of the Torrance Center for Creativity & Talent Development and Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia, and Andreas Fink, Professor of Psychology at the University of Graz. This will be a fantastic opportunity to connect, share ideas, and celebrate the field of creativity neuroscience on the 10th anniversary of SfNC's founding. We are now soliciting abstracts for talks, posters, and symposia: https://lnkd.in/eeyb4XuJ. SfNC invites submissions about research on creativity using neuroscience and neuroimaging methods, as well as psychological, behavioral, and social approaches. In line with this year's theme, we are also particularly interested in submissions from clinical and developmental science, as well as presentations concerning creativity and change from the arts, humanities, and other relevant fields. The deadline for abstract submissions is January 17th, 2025. If you have new work or ideas to share, we encourage you to submit to this exciting event. Reach out to tsfnc.org@gmail.com with any questions.
