According to an article in The Northern Echo, the future of Hitachi’s Newton Aycliffe plant in the U.K. has been secured with a deal that will be announced by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer today. Steven Hornyak, CEO of Turntide, said, “Hitachi is building some the most technologically advanced trains at this factory, which will contribute to the sustainability of the railway.
