"Well-wired Democratic strategist" Chris Coffey discusses the current state of NYC's free-for-all mayor's race. “There had been an assumption among insiders pre–presidential election that Eric Adams would not run or that, if he did, he would not be a relevant factor in 2025,” says Chris Coffey, a well-wired Democratic strategist. “I think that assumption is being challenged right now. He is clearly going to run, and I am sure he will be a factor. But I don’t think we yet know how that will affect the makeup of the field. Is Andrew Cuomo running? This week, I am celebrating my 8 YEAR anniversary with Tusk Strategies. 🎉 In reflecting on all that has happened, all I have learned, and all I look forward to, I have landed on eight things I feel extraordinarily grateful for and thought I would pass along: I am endless grateful to…. 1. Work somewhere where every day, let alone year, is wildly different.  2. Learn constantly and be surrounded by so many brilliant and inspiring minds (clients and colleagues alike!)  3. Run campaigns for some of the biggest movers and shakers in the tech industry and have the opportunity to see behind the curtain  4. Fight for causes I deeply care about and know the work we do makes a difference  5. Flex my creative muscle constantly. To throw mud at the wall and see what sticks. To throw out crazy ideas and often times actually get to execute them (still waiting to cross sky writing for a campaign off my bingo card…)  6. Have such a hardworking, smart and joyous team (and to have worked with so many brilliant Tusk-ers over the years) Dani Frese, Jarrett Catlin, Reana Wilson, Rutik Shinglot thanks for everything you do day in and day out.   7. Work for such supportive, inspiring people: Thank you to Chris Coffey and Bradley Tusk for building something incredible and letting me be a part of it  8. Legitimately love my job. Finding, feeling and creating JOY has always been one of my most consistently sought-after core values at work - and joy is most certainly what I feel.  Endlessly grateful. Hungry for more.
