Why should I be careful in selecting my IoT testing tools, and what are requirements on a good IoT testing process? Read insights from our interview with Jochen Neuffer on Coders Kitchen.

Why is it so hard to realize #digitalization efforts in practice? We are currently faced with seemingly unlimited potentials of improving our processes based on advancements in #AI, #IoT and #processautomation. Companies will have to act on these potentials to stay competitive in the future. On the other side, most companies are struggling to find qualified personnel to keep up with their daily business. Obviously, this makes it hard to carve out necessary time to keep up with the curve. So, let’s start focusing our limited resources on efficiently realizing digitalization efforts. Three easy ways to do this: 𝟭. 𝗟𝗼𝘄-𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Instead of aiming at digitizing your business models from all ends at the same time, take a step back and define the low-hanging fruits that you can pick first. This way, you can explore benefits of digitalization for your unique business context with a low investment. Use these first results to get people on board and gradually expand from there. 𝟮. 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹. Even though each company has their unique business context, we have been implementing digitalization for decades now. Let’s leverage all this effort that people have already spent on making great tools, such as digital twins, so that we don’t have to reinvent the wheel in every new project. 𝟯. 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀. through intelligent, future-proof software architectures. By strategically planning our architectures, we make sure that it stays easy to add or exchange existing tooling on the long run.
