🚨 Governor Abbott’s Operation Lone Star: Targets Father of Five in Unconstitutional Overreach 🚨 A father of five was convicted under Abbott’s border scheme for simply giving a ride. This program criminalizes kindness, wastes billions, and violates federal law. Texans deserve justice and dignity.

About us
We are Texas lawyers and advocates for Texas communities, boldly serving the movement for equality and justice in and out of the courts. We envision a Texas where all communities thrive with dignity and justice, and without fear. TCRP believes that legal advocacy and litigation are critical tools to protect and advance the civil rights of everyone in Texas, particularly our State’s most vulnerable populations, and to effect positive and lasting change to law and policy. We believe that by serving the rising social justice movement in Texas with excellent legal representation and bold strategies, we can respond to the needs of the communities we serve.

Texans deserve a democracy that works for all of us—a democracy where everyone, regardless of race, ability, or zip code, has the freedom to vote safely and without intimidation. 🗳️ This election season, the 866-OUR-VOTE Election Protection Hotline stood strong, thanks to an incredible coalition of partners from across the state. Together, we worked to solve problems like voter intimidation and accessibility barriers in real time, ensuring that Texans could make their voices heard. BREAKING: We are suing the state of Texas over the wrongful death of Joshua Kieth Beasley, Jr. Joshua was locked up in the Texas Juvenile Justice Department when he was just 11 years old, and then transferred to the adult prison system at age 16. Joshua had a history of struggles with mental health, and he died by suicide in March of last year. Joshua deserved better. Instead of providing him with support and treatment, the system caused his mental health to deteriorate drastically until he eventually lost his life. We are suing to bring relief to Joshua's family over his death and to force accountability and change to our broken system of locking up youth who need help.

Every voter should have their voice heard & their vote counted. It may take longer to count the votes and verify a winner in this year’s election — and that’s okay. We need to be patient so election officials can take the time to make sure we #CountEveryVote.
