This panel was the third of four panels that also included keynote remarks on the Texas Economic Outlook from Adriana Cruz Executive Director, Texas Economic Development & Tourism - Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott. It was an incredible opportunity for industry leaders and policymakers to connect and collaborate and many Texas Economic Development Corporation Investors were in attendance both connecting and collaborating! Hays Caldwell Economic Development Partnership Aaron Demerson, President & CEO of the Texas Economic Development Corporation, participated in an engaging panel moderated by Mike Kamerlander, CEcD, President/CEO of Hays Caldwell Economic Development Partnership, that included Richard A. (Tony) Bennett, CEO of the Texas Association of Manufacturers, and Gabriela Perdichizzi, Vice President of Government & External Relations at the Texas Association of Business. The discussions centered on the challenges and opportunities that exist in Hays Caldwell communities and Luis Bernardo Torres Ruiz, Senior Business Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas served as the keynote speaker prior to the panel. What an AMAZING way to start 2025! COSTEP and TxEDC-Partnering to make a Difference! On Tuesday, the COSTEP Board of Directors took action to continue their commitment to growing their respective and identified region of South Texas through an agreed upon partnership with the Texas Economic Development Corporation (TxEDC). Aaron Demerson, President & CEO of TxEDC, met with members of the COSTEP team to reaffirm TxEDC's commitment to their mission and to encourage their active participation in promoting Texas as the top destination for business relocation, expansion, and retention.
