Texas Association of Business Policy Conference 2025!    Texas Economic Development Corporation President/CEO, Aaron Demerson, sat on a panel moderated by Gabriela Perdichizzi, Texas Association of Business VP, Government and External Relations with Ariane M., Texas CHIPS Office, Executive Director, State Representative Richard Raymond-District 42, and Ray Martinez, Texas Association of Community Colleges, President/CEO where they shared valuable insights on Texas and the Global Economic Powerhouse status it has achieved.   This panel was the third of four panels that also included keynote remarks on the Texas Economic Outlook from Adriana Cruz Executive Director, Texas Economic Development & Tourism - Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott.   It was an incredible opportunity for industry leaders and policymakers to connect and collaborate and many Texas Economic Development Corporation Investors were in attendance both connecting and collaborating!    CONGRATS to Glenn Hamer and the Texas Association of Business team for kicking 2025 off in true TEXAS fashion!   The Future Is Texas!

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting TxEDC Investor Union Pacific Railroad to discuss opportunities for partnership and collaboration in 2025.    Aaron Evans, Senior Director of Economic Development, Clint Schelbitzki, AVP of Public Affairs, Raquel Espinoza, Senior Director of Public Affairs, and Brian Siegman, Director of Corporate Strategy, from Union Pacific were in town to double down on their economic development efforts here in Texas.     Also in attendance were TxEDC President/CEO Aaron Demerson, Vice President of Business Development Dale A. A BIG DAY on the campus of Texas State University! Hays Caldwell Economic Development Partnership   Aaron Demerson, President & CEO of the Texas Economic Development Corporation, participated in an engaging panel moderated by Mike Kamerlander, CEcD, President/CEO of Hays Caldwell Economic Development Partnership, that included Richard A. (Tony) Bennett, CEO of the Texas Association of Manufacturers, and Gabriela Perdichizzi, Vice President of Government & External Relations at the Texas Association of Business.    The discussions centered on the challenges and opportunities that exist in Hays Caldwell communities and Luis Bernardo Torres Ruiz, Senior Business Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas served as the keynote speaker prior to the panel. What an AMAZING way to start 2025! COSTEP and TxEDC-Partnering to make a Difference!   On Tuesday, the COSTEP Board of Directors took action to continue their commitment to growing their respective and identified region of South Texas through an agreed upon partnership with the Texas Economic Development Corporation (TxEDC). Aaron Demerson, President & CEO of TxEDC, met with members of the COSTEP team to reaffirm TxEDC's commitment to their mission and to encourage their active participation in promoting Texas as the top destination for business relocation, expansion, and retention.   Our THANKS to COSTEP Board Chair and former Mayor of McAllen, Jim Darling, and Board Member and former McAllen Economic Development Corporation President & CEO, Keith Patridge, for participating in the check presentation to TxEDC.
