We are excited to be featured as a top contender in Civil + Structural Magazine’s 2024 Yearbook of Engineering Achievement. The Great Water Alliance Program was a multi-year, multimillion-dollar effort to transition the City of Waukesha’s water supply to Lake Michigan. A true sustainability success story, this massive undertaking included miles and miles of pipeline, multiple pumping stations and ground storage reservoirs, a return flow pumping station, and more. With the help of our project partners, we achieved a net zero impact on Lake Michigan while setting a new industry standard for community engagement, innovation, and engineering excellence. We are excited to announce that the Panama Metro - Tocumen Airport Line 2 Extension project in Panama City, Panama, has been honored with the Award of Merit (Rail/Transit category) in Engineering News-Record’s 2024 Global Best Projects competition. These ENR awards go to the most innovative and impactful construction projects worldwide, emphasizing resilience and ingenuity in overcoming complex challenges. This rail project supplies much-needed connectivity between the airport and the capital city's main public transportation service network, benefiting the thousands of passengers and workers who travel through the airport daily. We provided conceptual and detailed design services for this complex project, including the elevated 1.96km double-rail line extension, known as El Ramal, and two new stations. Congratulations to Consorcio Línea 2 Ramal and the entire project team! Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gusKeD3H #TYLinConnects #rail #transportation Engineering News-Record

Imagine doing your holiday shopping on NYC’s Fifth Avenue, strolling on wide, welcoming sidewalks instead of squeezing through crowds of oncoming pedestrians or dodging speeding cars. That’s the goal of the “Future of Fifth” streetscape redesign plan for Fifth Avenue: to make this famous destination safer, more pleasant, and more walkable – a pedestrian experience on par with other global shopping and cultural corridors. Each day, 70% of total traffic on the street is pedestrian and over 5000 people walk a block along it every hour. During the holidays, that number swells to 23,000! Yet, currently, less than half the space on the street is specifically reserved for walking. Learn how this redesign better accommodates all users by widening sidewalks by nearly 50%, shortening crossings, and increasing lighting and greenery—enhancements that are also expected to bolster commerce and build community. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/g_cDa3sp #TYLinConnects #UrbanPlanning #UrbanDesign #transportation
