This #BlackHistoryMonth, ULI LA celebrates trailblazing leaders driving opportunity and equity in commercial real estate. Kicking off this month's member spotlights is Michael Banner, founder of Urban Marketplace and President and CEO of Los Angeles LDC, Inc. Under Banner’s leadership, the LDC is widely known as an expert at aligning the needs of both borrowers and investors operating and investing in underserved markets. The LDC provides capital and advisory services to clients that aspire to create positive community development impacts in distressed neighborhoods. Over the past 36 years, Banner has also been an active Key Leader in ULI, and serves in many leadership capacities, including the America’s Executive Committee and Diversity Equity Inclusivity Committee. In 2016, he was honored with the Robert M. O’Donnell award for outstanding contributions to the success of ULI’s Advisory Services Program.
