Happy National Coaches Day from Soccer Without Borders! ✨ Today and everyday, we celebrate our coaches for all of the meaningful work that they do in supporting the development of the youth in our communities around the world. From creating safe spaces for participants to be themselves to attending their graduations + supporting their milestone moments— SWB coaches are truly more than just a “coach.” ⚽️ At SWB, we often refer to our coaches as “practitioners” as they provide direct service to newcomer youth and are critical to success of sports-based youth development work. These SWB practitioners have a holistic lens of our youth’s needs and are role models on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. 💙 SWB practitioners utilize their unique lens to support our youth to thrive across the many different aspects of their lives. With this in mind, we want to take this day to celebrate the incredible work that is being done across our teams— on the field, and within the hearts of all of who participate in our programs. To our practitioners— thank you for all you do to ensure our communities feel safe, healthy, and seen. 🫶🏽
