  • Today is a big day— for the past few months, we have been working tirelessly to make Ummahfy as useful and accessible as possible. With that, we are proud to announce that we are launching our largest update to Ummahfy since its inception 🕋   What makes this change so crucial? Well… Here are the three biggest changes: ·    ORGANIZER PROFILES! – Customized profile page for your Muslim organization, with all your events managed on just one dashboard, and multiple users can be added/managed for your organization. Plus, lots of additional features coming soon! ·    INTEGRATED TICKETING! – Seamless setup to sell tickets and collect payment for Muslim organizations. No more 3rd party payment links! ·    REDESINED EVENT CREATOR! – Enhanced tools for creating recurring and virtual events, as well as more detailed event tags like Professional, Wellness, Revert, Charity, and more.   Since we launched in August – we have reached thousands of Muslim users – and built a strong team of very passionate Muslim leaders pushing for change.    If you would like to learn more about Ummahfy, visit our website www.ummahfy.com and follow us on social media @ummahfy!

Ummahfy just hosted a College Muslim Networking Dinner in collaboration with @sacredhaqq, and it was incredible! Muslim students across Chicagoland broke bread together for a night of networking and good company.   At Ummahfy, we’ve learned that connecting with youth-led Muslim organizations like Sacred Haqq strengthens our impact and helps us improve the lives of young Muslim adults navigating a complicated world.   The goal of our joint event was to bring together future Muslim leaders across Chicagoland, and give them a space to meet and discuss ideas. We did a speed-networking roundtable where we broke into different groups based on interests and careers, and shared advice from the diverse backgrounds present.   The ICCD (Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines) Mosque was hospitable, and a wonderful space to hold such impressive thought leaders of tomorrow. We look forward to working with Sacred Haqq again, continuing our passion for a deeply linked Ummah based on love and trust.   On that note, we’ll be hosting our Sister’s Rooftop Networking Gala next Tuesday at 6pm. Stay tuned for that post very soon 👀

  • Our first Muslim Networking event in Chicago was a resounding success! Thanks to everyone for coming out, and to Oud Cafe for hosting us!

Ummahfy just hosted our first ever networking event! Muslims across the Chicagoland area united for an evening of stimulating conversation and sweet treats. OUD cafe was a perfect spot to jumpstart Ummahfy’s mission of uplifting Muslims in tech. We were honored to promote a small Muslim business in any way we can and are looking forward to working with them again. What we’re proud of: - Sold out event with a diverse crowd across many fields - People received job opportunities and referrals - Many people came solo and left with new friends - The $10 coffee & pastry combo :) How we’ll improve next time: - Event started a little late for older working professionals - More structured networking— name tags, ice breakers, etc Despite being last minute, the event was still a resounding success. However, it’s always important to self-assess and make improvements for next time. With that being said, we’ll be announcing an upscale sisters’ only event soon, where we’ll be implementing everything we learned from this event and taking it up a notch. So if you’re a Muslimah in Chicago, keep your eyes peeled for updates. You won’t want to miss this one. You can stay up to date right here, or follow us on @ummahfy on socials for more.
