Call for Papers: Contemporary Dynamics of Political Unification The Ummatics Institute’s Political Unification Academic Working Group invites submissions for a workshop exploring the evolving dynamics, challenges, and prospects of political unification in general, and with reference to the Global South and the Muslim World in particular. Abstracts of 350-400 words, with an accompanying author bio, are due by February 20, 2025. The best paper submitted, as judged by a panel of scholars from the Ummatics research team, will be awarded a prize of $500. Please see full details at the link below.

🌐 Ummatics Conference 2024 🌐 Hello from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! I recently participated in Ummatics Inc. Conference 2024 held at the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. It was an incredible experience where I had the chance to engage with participants from all over the world. We discussed crucial topics related to the future of the Umma, including Islamic governance, social issues, digital colonialism, and political challenges. Meeting and learning from renowned speakers like Omar Suleiman Yaqeen Institute and Jonathan Brown was truly inspiring. Istanbul meet-up Almir Colan presented a case for strategic economic cooperation among Muslim countries in response to global economic challenges and the shifting balances of power.
