🌡️ No words, no numbers—just a powerful visual capturing our planet’s warming. The 175 stripes, representing each year since 1850, are colored by global temperatures: blues for cooler years, reds for hotter ones. Its simplicity speaks volumes, requiring little explanation for anyone to grasp its meaning. 🔴 These "warming stripes" have become a global symbol of climate awareness and #ClimateAction. The latest update adds a new dark red stripe for 2024—a color first introduced last year when 2023 shattered all previous records.
The UN Environment Programme estimates that if historic growth trends continue, global production of primary plastic is forecasted to reach 1,100 million tonnes by 2050. We need systemic change now to #BeatPlasticPolution.

Looking back at this year, we're honoured to have held the We the Women Global Survey, Intergenerational Dialogues to support the survey’s analysis. These dialogues took place in eight countries: Barbados, Bhutan, Chile, Honduras, Jordon, Morocco, Namibia and Nigeria. These dialogues were structured as intergenerational conversations about their vision for the world, followed by broader discussions with a wider group of women from various backgrounds. Collectively, over 300 women from diverse backgrounds and organizations participated in these dialogues. #2024wrapped #yearinreview #bestof2024
