Children account for 38 % of all detected victims of trafficking globally, a number that keeps rising. The Interagency Coordination Group against Trafficking in Persons (ICAT) restates its commitment to support States in accelerating actions to end this crime. #EndHumanTrafficking

As we mark #HumanRightsDay, I regret that children worldwide are facing violence on a massive scale, but I am also encouraged by the reinvigorated commitments made this year by governments, civil society organizations, and international institutions to come together to strengthen efforts towards ending violence against children in all its forms.
