It has been 1,000 days since the start of the full-scale war in #Ukraine. This war has had a profound and widespread impact on women and girls, leaving close to: 🚨8 million of them in need of humanitarian assistance. 🚨2.5 million people—primarily women and girls—in need of support to address gender-based violence, including sexual violence. 🚨4.6 million Ukrainians internally displaced and seeking refuge abroad. Most of them are women and girls. UN Women is on the ground in #Ukraine, actively supporting the government and civil society to further advance laws and policies that support women’s economic empowerment.
