Strengthening Communication Bridges in Memory Spaces: The Cases of ANFADEP and ANFASEP 📚 This book is essential as it serves as a valuable contribution to the memory, a crucial element for justice and reconciliation. Through this project, we have achieved important milestones: ✅ Capacity building: Cultural mediation workshops with ANFASEP and ANFADET to shed light on the internal armed conflict. ✅ Memory Route: Developing strategies to consolidate local memory nodes. ✅ Dissemination and articulation: Communication diagnostics to enhance the visibility of memory spaces. 🔑 Key Recommendations: Foster interaction on social media and digital channels. Strengthen dialogue with neighboring communities through analog communication methods. 💬 The discussions highlighted the urgent need to preserve the Lugar de la Memoria (LUM) and other spaces that face challenges due to the authorities' lack of engagement. The preservation of Yuyanapaq, which is set to close in 2026, underscores this challenge. 🤝 We are grateful for the historical support of the German Embassy in Peru and other actors such as IDEHPUCP, who have played a vital role in strengthening memory spaces. 🔊 The future is in the hands of younger generations. Involving youth, future leaders, schools, and citizens in preserving memory is crucial, as emphasized by María Soledad Pérez Tello, former Minister of Justice and Human Rights. #SeguimosUnidas #HumanRights #Peru

🔎First Unidas event in 2025: Strengthening Memory and Peace: Book Presentation on Memory Spaces in Peru 🇵🇪📖 On February 5, 2025, as part of the project "Fortaleciendo el Camino de la Memoria y la Paz: Rutas por la Memoria" (Strengthening the Path of Memory and Peace: Routes for Memory), the project results were presented through the book "FORTALECIENDO PUENTES DE COMUNICACIÓN EN ESPACIOS DE MEMORIA: LOS CASOS DE ANFADEP Y ANFASEP" (Strengthening Communication Bridges in Memory Spaces: The Cases of ANFADEP and ANFASEP). This project, supported by the Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) Germany through the Unidas Women’s Network and implemented by IDEHPUCP, aimed to reinforce female leadership and promote peace by connecting key memory sites in Ayacucho and Lima. The event brought together experts, representatives from civil society, the German Embassy in Lima, and members of UNIDAS to discuss the findings and best practices in the management of memory spaces. This meaningful discussion highlighted the crucial role of women in preserving historical memory and advocating for truth and justice. Together, we continue to build bridges for reconciliation and peace! 🌎✊ #SeguimosUnidas building bridges, amplifying voices, and shaping a future where memory strengthens democracy and peace. ✊🏽 We invite you to stay tuned to learn more about the book.
