About us

We enable local entrepreneurial-minded folks to start their own company with little start-up cost. We help them get started and make it easy for them to utilize the gig-economy to be able to compete with the prices of our overextended competitors. We eliminate the upfront cost of developing and maintaining a website, creating and managing ads, and expensive custom apparel.  Now more than ever, it is getting more and more complex and expensive to own, start, and manage a company. Which is why we decided to provide the technological backbone to help people own, grow, and manage their very own local small business. We’re not a franchise, we’re not the Uber of moving, we’re something totally different.

    Community Outreach Manager at UniMovers

I thought I would share the top things I've enjoyed so far after six months of working full-time for UniMovers. If you haven't seen my last post, I graduated from Coe College in the spring of 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, and Public Relations. After two years of part-time work with UniMovers, I transitioned into a full-time role as the Community Outreach Manager in August. I work fully remotely and set my own schedule. Two of the many lifestyle perks this company offers. On top of that, I have the autonomy to decide what my role will entail. I get to go to work every day knowing that I have a team that supports me and contributes to our success as a whole. I don't worry about opening my laptop and dreading the next 8 hours (or 4, or 2, or 10, or whatever best suits my schedule that week). I've been spoiled as a new professional and couldn't be happier with the company I've ended up with. In May, I wrapped up my senior year at Coe with a May term trip to Paris, France for three weeks. I also celebrated my second work anniversary with a trip to Hawai'i (thanks to my super cool boss, Collin Flynn), and a trip to California. After transitioning to full-time, I spent almost every weekend in Ames with my family cheering on the Cyclones, made a trip to watch my favorite Cyclone turn 49er in Minnesota, trekked around the mountains of the PNW, attended too many concerts to count, and pet every dog I could find. Of course, I completed several new projects at work including but not limited to overseeing the distribution of our scholarship awards, contributing to the expansion of UniMovers locations, and building partnerships with local area businesses. I'm excited to see what the next few months bring in this role and where my next "office" will be!
