📍 In #Sudan's West Darfur, “[humanitarians] want to do more. They’re ready to do more. They’re desperate to do more." United Nations Relief Chief, Tom Fletcher CMG, shares his first-hand insights on the ground as the UN and partners work to overcome access constraints and get further aid in. Displaced communities “want security, justice, opportunity,” he says. They need food, medicines, shelter, jobs, education, health and psychological assistance, protection and peace. The people of Sudan "have shown us what courage and resilience mean. We must and will push harder - obstacle by obstacle - to scale up support to them. We are them and they are us. We need to be here,” stresses Fletcher. 🔊 Hear more ⬇️

This has left humanitarian responses underfunded and millions of people in devastation. Those in need can’t keep paying for this shortfall with their lives. #InvestInHumanity
