The U.S. Navy has committed to deploying the first Columbia-class ballistic missile submarine, USS District of Columbia (SSBN-826), by 2030. Despite delays caused by supplier issues and a longer than expected build timeline, we are determined to ensure the submarine is ready for patrol by the target date. This program is crucial for maintaining the sea-based component of the U.S. nuclear triad.
