United is the Way. True to our founding spirit, whenever there is a need in our communities, United Way of North Carolina and our state's 47 local United Ways are there. We bring a comprehensive approach to every challenge, actively listening and responding to local needs. Our reach across North Carolina means we can share innovations and scale impact to improve the lives of North Carolinians. From strengthening local resilience to advancing health, youth opportunity, and financial security, we’re working towards a future where every person in all 100 counties can reach their full potential. We do this by leveraging our community networks to facilitate compassionate, comprehensive aid. For example, our efforts in disaster relief and recovery, like Hurricane Helene, show our commitment to fostering the strength and unity communities need to find ways forward. This includes working closely with local United Ways and agency partners to open pathways for communication, compile vital resources and information, and raising funds to go directly to communities in need.
