Today, November 20th, World Children’s Day is celebrated. The day marks the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989). In 2024, #WorldChildrensDay calls on adults to listen to the future. By listening to children, we can fulfill their right to self-expression, understand their ideas for a better world, and include their priorities in our actions today. Children's rights are #humanrights and they are non-negotiable. Unfortunately, in many places, they are ignored, misunderstood, even denied or attacked. World Children’s Day provides an opportunity to focus on the issues that matter most to children. The second day of the USD project training activity was focused on the Knowledge for Sustainability portal. ♻️ What will the portal be? The largest online library, providing information to accelerate the implementation of 2030 Agenda. ♻️ Who will it be for? Anyone with academic or scientific interest in the 2030 Agenda. ♻️ How will it work? Registered individuals / institutions will be able to upload content of academic or scientific interest to the library. For the following two days USD project members will be testing the Intelligent Target Locator at Savonia University of Applied Sciences. Intelligent Target Locator is an advanced AI tool designed to help higher education institutions connect their activities (study plans, projects, publications) to the 169 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
