Surrounded by inspiring minds and incredible energy, I had the pleasure of connecting with some of the most passionate and driven people in the venture community.✨ The panel featured three remarkable founders whose stories showcased the resilience, vision, and commitment that drive real transformation in the startup world. Moderated by the wonderful Preethy Padmanabhan, a Marketing Executive and Angel Investor, the event highlighted the exceptional work of Untapped Investing, led by Mica Eades Mayo (Cofounder & GTM Exec), Felicia Mayo (Cofounder & HR Exec), and Attica Alexis Jaques (Cofounder & Marketing Exec). AN AMAZING PANEL DISCUSSION WITH THE FOUNDERS BEHIND UNTAPPED INVESTING IN SILICON VALLEY Yesterday was an incredible experience. Together with Eirik Larsen, I was invited to the Untapped Investing, Love&Whiskey event in Silicon Valley by my good friends Deep S. and Preethy Padmanabhan. This was one of the most inspiring events I've attended, featuring the journeys of three remarkable founders whose stories took my breath away. Untapped Investing is an angel investment group led by Felicia Mayo, Mica Eades Mayo and Attica Alexis Jaques, who come together as a powerful catalyst for change in the venture space. They connect trailblazing, underrepresented, and underserved founders with essential capital and access to world-class executives and industry leaders, offering guidance and support to help unlock the exponential growth potential of their startups. Thank you for this remarkable experience and your story, which deeply resonated with me and made me reflect on how much we all have to contribute to society. It also reminded me of the important work we’re doing at bSafe - Never Walk Alone helping preventing and handle violence and crime against women. I had the pleasure of sitting next to Shalini Sardana (She/Her), who was very interested in my story and the “WHY” behind bSafe. As many people know, I developed bSafe alongside my daughter Charlen Larsen, inspired by an incident she experienced at 16. Her reflections on how her assault could have been prevented led us to create what is now the world's leading personal safety app, combining voice-activated SOS, location tracking, live audio and video streaming, and direct recording to law enforcement. Major outlets like CNN, Fox News TV, BBC and ABC News have covered bSafe, recognizing our story, innovative technology and fantastic team. We’ve seen growing demand from some of the world's largest tech companies. We’re partnering with Cytta Corp (CYCA), a leading provider of advanced secure communication and live drone streaming technology, to distribute our unique solution. Cytta has secured 25 new department annual license purchase orders, with additional discussions and trials underway with agencies in multiple states. The platform now includes 827 registered users actively engaged in live trials. I also had a chance to catch up with my good friend Joseph Yeh 🖤💛🤎 , who introduced me to Sunmeet Jolly, a legend in San Jose. Before leaving, I had the honor of chatting with Princi Gill, co-founder of Waahe Capital, focused on modernizing and disrupting traditional property management models through innovative technology.
