What happens to white clover seed crops when it rains over 155 mL over a fortnight in Canterbury? "It gets bulky," Reed tells us 🐾 Though pretty to look at, this is an issue, when it's the seed heads the grower is after and not the leaves. Having such a leafy crop makes desiccation more challenging and requires a super spreader like #UPLNZ's DU-WETT in the tank mix to help with coverage. Otherwise desiccation won't work as effectively as it needs to. Hear, hear!

Almost there! Here's the latest update on the onion 🧅 paddock in the Waikato from Pieter Van Der Westhuizen, #UPLNZ's Regional Manager Upper North Island. From tiny seedlings to an ocean of greens. The onions are already lodging, soon to be harvested. And yes, in case you've been wondering, SUPER SPROUT STOP and LI-700 would have gone on before lodging to ensure thorough coverage.

India’s agricultural landscape is vast, unique and challenging. Over 130 million farmers, 85% of whom are smallholders, are spread across 300 million hectares of farmland. So connecting with them is no easy task. Unlike other countries like Brazil where reaching fewer large-scale farmers can make a significant impact, India requires a completely different approach. In an exclusive interview with PTI, UPL SAS CEO Mr. Ashish Dobhal explains the challenges of engaging India’s diverse farming community and how UPL SAS is addressing this through targeted strategies tailored to distinct micro-markets across the country. Recognizing that sustainability is no longer a distant goal but a critical need, UPL SAS is focused on solutions that empower farmers while helping them adapt to the realities of climate change. The need for collective action is now greater than ever as the effects of climate change are already here. From innovative products to data-driven approaches, this interview also captures how UPL SAS is leading the way in supporting Indian agriculture with thoughtful and impactful solutions for today and tomorrow. #Sustainability #ClimateChange #DigitalTransformation #IndianAgriculture #UPLSAS

As part of #AgriTrailblazers and #Agritalkwithlaxmi, here is an interview with UPL Sustainable AgriSolutions (UPL SAS) CEO Ashish Dobhal in the farm fields of Karnal, Haryana. In an exclusive interview to PTI, Dobhal said reaching India's vast and diverse farming community remains a significant challenge, with around 130 million farmers, 85% of whom are smallholders, spread across 300 million hectares of arable land. Unlike Brazil, where engaging a few farmers can cover millions of hectares, in India, we need to engage lakhs (hundreds of thousands) of farmers to achieve the same impact. Even with the best solutions and marketing budgets, connecting with such a large group is no easy feat. At UPL SAS, we’ve been working to address this by analyzing data across the country and recognizing that India’s farming landscape is made up of distinct micro-markets. This insight has led us to design targeted strategies for each micro-market. Sustainability is now a top priority, both for farmers and buyers, and we are adjusting our approach to stay aligned with this shift. Climate change, which we once thought would impact us in the future, is already here, and every company must adapt its strategy to tackle this challenge. Addressing climate change is not about competition but about collective action. At UPL SAS, we are committed to driving solutions that help farmers and the industry thrive in this evolving landscape.
