Congrats to our Director, GP McLeer who was awarded the "Excellence in Community Outreach" award at this year's Transportation Association of South Carolina's annual conference! The award is in recognition of UMA's study released earlier this year on establishing a Mobility Hub at GSP Airport!

“South Carolina projects grabbed the most money during the second funding round with five companies winning a total of $849 million in grants. In Michigan, four companies were awarded a total of $355 million. In the town of Due West in Abbeville County, SCDOT recently resurfaced parts of SC 20. Fresh asphalt and pavement markings provide a smooth, safe drive along this route.

Deepening our region's hiking and cycling culture, the Saluda Grade Trail has won a $450,000 federal grant from the Appalachian Regional Initiative for Stronger Economies. Even before its opening, the trail has already proven to be an economic driver to Upstate SC, influencing both TIME Bicycles and Munich Composites in their decisions to locate new investments in Spartanburg County.
