I had a CEO who bragged that the only device he needed to run his business was in the palm of his hand 📲 It used to be scandalous to work from anywhere. A little before then, we were still coaxing our employees to put down the pen and paper and start plugging information into a computer. Those were simpler times! Now we’re at a fascinating intersection in tech. For years, I've been obsessed with improving the user experience - making systems intuitive, reducing clicks, making sure users understand WHY the data they input makes a HUGE difference down the line. Connecting the dots. It’s not about the technology, it’s about the people!!! But now? Vernon Keenan’s article really opened my eyes. I’m designing for TWO audiences: Our human users 👩💼 AND their virtual employee coworkers…soon to be besties? 🤖 I’m getting Blade Runner vibes (fav movie) Deckard > Rachael Officer K > Joi = Salesforce > Agentforce Think about it: 💡 The sales rep AND their AI assistant tag-teaming on proposals 📊 The analyst working alongside their virtual data buddy 💬 The support agent partnering with their AI sidekick to solve cases The game has changed. These virtual employees aren't just tools - they're teammates who: 🔄 Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously 🧮 Actually understand context (not just clicking buttons for you like the old school automation!) 📚 Learn and improve constantly But here's what I’ve been thinking about: - How do we design systems that help humans and AI work in harmony? - How do we make this partnership feel natural, not forced? - How do we create chill experiences for our employees so they don’t go all Corbin Dallas on the machines? (Fifth Element is another great watch 🎥) The C-suite gets it. They're practically breaking down doors for these solutions. But our job isn't just to implement - it's to orchestrate this dance between human expertise and AI capabilities 👯 What I do for a living isn't just about new software anymore - it's about introducing people to their newest "coworkers."
