India’s urban infrastructure is estimated to require ₹70 lakh crore of investment by 2035, reflecting the scale of growth our cities will experience. To meet this need, long-term actions such as advancing devolution, financial autonomy, and fiscal discipline are crucial. However, medium-term steps are equally important to address the immediate challenges and set the stage for sustainable urban development.
