Research shows that up to 88% of women seeking weight loss reported experiencing fat shaming, often from family members. For educators, understanding these intersections is key to fostering inclusive environments where every identity is seen, heard, welcomed, and valued. Here are some ways to embed inclusivity in the classroom: Curriculum Design: Integrate diverse voices to reflect a range of cultural backgrounds and histories, validating student identities and broadening their perspectives. Teaching Approaches: Use differentiated instruction to cater to varied needs and learning styles, ensuring equitable participation for all students. Classroom Management: Build a collaborative and respectful learning environment. Encourage open dialogue and address biases to create a safe space for students to share and connect. Support Systems: Offer resources focused on supporting marginalized groups, such as mentorship programs and cultural competency training for educators. By recognizing and addressing these intersections, educators can implement intentional strategies that reduce systemic barriers, creating a classroom culture where all students are empowered to succeed. Each episode spotlights a team member's unique expertise, passions, and commitment to creating meaningful CHANGE. In the kickoff episode, Megan chats with Dr. Carolyn Strong, an educator with over two decades of experience working in communities of color, specializing in bridging discipline gaps. Their conversation centers on curriculum violence - the concept of how educational materials and teaching approaches can cause harm, whether intentionally or unintentionally, to students. Moving forward means embracing this moment as a checkpoint, not an endpoint. Regardless of the results, our shared responsibility is to stay engaged, advocate for what matters, and seek common ground—even when it feels challenging. This week, we invite you to do this: The next time you discuss the election with someone who sees it differently, focus on listening, not persuading. Ask them, “What’s one thing you hope for in the future?” and reflect on what you learn. Share your experience with us using #US2PostElectionTalk and follow us @us2consulting for more tools to move forward together. Did you miss the live session last Monday? No worries! You can upgrade to VIP and catch up anytime by accessing the recording of all sessions on our DEI Learning Hub. Click here to get VIP access: https://lnkd.in/gmfiiE7V.... Stay tuned for our next session on December 2! #CHANGEmaker #Leadership #Empowerment

Body liberation is about embracing and celebrating all body types, sizes, abilities, and identities as essential to our humanity. It challenges harmful beauty standards and dismantles societal norms that perpetuate body shaming and discrimination. At its core, body liberation empowers each of us to own our bodies confidently, free from judgment. A survey from the Body Liberation Coalition found that 85% of participants felt more empowered to embrace their bodies after attending community events focused on body liberation, reporting not only a deeper connection to others but also improved mental health and well-being. At US² Consulting, we view body liberation as essential to equity and inclusion, creating spaces where everyone can thrive authentically. Together, we can foster a more inclusive society that values and celebrates diversity in all its forms—across education, the workplace, and beyond. Join us on this metamorphustice™ toward liberation! Follow us to stay informed and help spark change. #CHANGEmaker #Leadership #Empowerment #Education #DEI
