Catalyzing private finance & private sector actions to support the transition to an equitable and net-zero economy

About us

The USAID Climate Finance for Development Accelerator (CFDA) is USAID’s flagship initiative to increase climate investment in emerging markets and developing economies. CFDA is a flexible platform for mobilizing capital faster, at greater scale, and to areas where it will have greater impact. By aligning the needs and priorities of investors, donors, innovators, and communities, CFDA cultivates effective partnerships and innovative investment solutions that minimize friction and maximize resources – resulting in more investable climate opportunities. CFDA aims to catalyze $2.5 billion in public and private climate actions and investments by 2030 while supporting strong, locally led climate finance ecosystems with increased flows of capital.
