USAIRE had the pleasure to welcome Damien Cazé, head of Direction Generale de l'Aviation Civile around a floor of CEOs, industry and administration representatives, at Cercle de l'Union Interalliée. We thank warmly our guest for sharing his analysis and perspective on the current environment and some key messages to all stakeholders. USAIRE had the privilege to kick off the new year with a Breakfast on Defense with LtGen (Armament Corps) Alexandre LAHOUSSE, head of the Directorate of Defense Industry at DGA - Direction générale de l'armement. We greatly thank our guest speaker who shared an in-depth and clear presentation of the strategy set by the newly created directorate to sustain and develop the national Defense Industrial and Technological Base. Our participants, including representatives of industry as well as financial and investment firms, enjoyed a frank exchange on this critical and highly strategic topic. What an exciting 2024 #Thanksgiving Gala diner edition! With about 300 top executives, under the patronage of Emmanuel Chiva Chief Executive of the DGA - Direction générale de l'armement the evening has been a great momentum of our industry. For once, this year's Personality of the Year Awards went to not one but two inspiring people for their exceptional careers. Congratulations to Yannick Assouad Executive Vice President, Thales Avionics who strengthened the position of the Thales commercial division and realigned the business to sustain strategic growth. Congratulations to Olivier Piepsz President of PROMÉTHÉE Earth Intelligence for his exceptional entrepreneurship. Olivier started from scratch in 2020 to build a space capability, based on technological innovation, to create French sovereign capabilities in the space sector. USAIRE/ Air & Cosmos jury highlighted the inspiring leader who reinforced French sovereignty in Defense and commercial aviation sectors.

USAIRE had the tremendous pleasure and honor to welcome Michael Whitaker, administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration. The fireside chat was very open on broad topics, addressing current situations as well as regulation challenges for the future of aviation. A very bright and enlightening exchange. Earlier during the same day, the Jury of USAIRE Student Award Contest gathered.
