We’re thrilled to announce our investment in ENZIDIA, a company enabling the bioeconomy revolution with what could be the fastest enzymes in the world. For decades, synthetic biology has demonstrated the transformation of renewable resources and CO₂ into nearly every product we currently derive from fossil fuels. Most of these solutions, though, are stuck at the proof-of-concept stage, waiting for higher efficiency before they can compete on the market. At the heart of these bio solutions are enzymes - the catalysts of bioprocesses - just as microchips run the algorithms of computers and AI. Much like how GPUs sparked the AI revolution, Enzidia’s breakthrough in accelerated enzyme engineering is set to unleash the bio economy revolution. Their proprietary platform, the Enzidia Evolutionary Wheel exceeds mainstream enzyme engineering technologies by several orders of magnitude enzyme screening throughput and enzyme data collection capacity, - the latter removing the key bottleneck in AI-aided enzyme engineering.
