Last night, we had the privilege of hosting our 2025 Stephen R. Covey Leadership Center Case Competition in collaboration with AlignOrg Solutions - Differentiation by Design®, bringing together top student talent to tackle one of today’s most pressing leadership challenges—integrating AI into human-driven innovation. Twelve teams stepped into the role of Toner Inc.'s executive team, crafting strategic solutions to balance the benefits of AI-driven materials discovery with the need to sustain workforce engagement, creativity, and expertise. With no slides and only a 10-minute verbal pitch, students had to think fast, communicate clearly, and persuade an esteemed panel of judges that their approach could lead Toner into a future of sustainable innovation. A huge thank you to CEO of AlignOrg Solution, Ken Thompson for making this happen. As well as to our judges -- their thoughtful questions and feedback elevated the experience for every participant. Judges throughout the evening included Kevin Spencer, McKlayne Marshall, Erica Brown, Olivia Archibald, Alex Romney, Kristy Dimmick, Colin Cole, and David Roskelley, MSPH, CIH, CSP, FAIHA, Kasen Holbrook, and Julena Bonner. Watching these students grapple with real-world complexities and present with confidence was a testament to the power of experiential learning. Congratulations to all the competitors for their impressive work, and thank you to everyone who made this event a success! It’s exciting to see the next generation of leaders rising to meet the challenges of an AI-driven world. A special congratulations to our winning teams: First Place - Olivia Hall - Abby Crowther - Makenna Norton - Addison (Addie) Hatch Second Place - Porter Kamerath - Brady Echols - Ashley Crosland - Taylor Peterson Third Place - Packer Evans - Braxton Loveridge - Katie Laudie - Darby Mason Fourth Place - Bridger Winward - Ta'Mariah Jenkins - Sierra Robles - Jasmine Kemp
